The best smelling store in the world

First of all I wanted to apologize for the three weeks without a blog. I was sick and after that really busy. Sorry but  this BlogSunday I have a long Blog for you. I think I have never written such a long blog, but it is defiantly worth reading. I hope you like it!!

When I was fifteen I was introduced to a store named Lush and since that day it is one of my favorite stores. When I ask people if they know Lush and they say no, I’ll always explain it as ‘The best smelling store in the world‘.  I absolutely love Lush.

Lush is a store that sells products for you skin, hair, face, teeth etc. I always by bubblebars and bathbombs there. And the best thing is that everything smells amazing. Everything has a unique scent and it is a scent that is strong but also subtle at the same time. The different scents that Lush has, linger on for a long time and that is one of the things I like about Lush. Normally when you buy a body wash or a shampoo, the scent will go away quickly, but with the products that Lush sells it isn’t the case. I have a shampoo from Lush where the scent of it stays in my hair for at least  a day when my hair is dry. And I have never had that before with any shampoo.

Another thing that is good about Lush, is that they are against animal testing, and the products are vegetarian. The side on that is that it will make the products more expensive than in a ‘normal’ store, but it’s all worth the money. Because it has not been tested on animals, it is vegetarian and the scents are amazing and with linger around you for a long time, which is a good thing.

The fourth thing about Lush products is that they are handmade. I think that that makes the products smell so good! and it is also a factor to the price of the products. But as I already said, it is really worth your money.

The next thing that is really nice about Lush, is that they have a permanent collection but they also have theme collections. Now they are having Halloween/Autumn and some stores already have some Christmas items. I think it is nice that they have themed items, because then it is fun to stop by when you see one. I do not have a Lush near my house, so every time when I come by a Lush I shop there and buy at least one thing. The last time I went to Lush was in Oberhausen (Blog about Oberhausen: Blog Oberhausen). They did not have all the Halloween items that are out from Lush, but they did have some cool Christmas items.

I will let you see some of my favorite items from Lush that are there permanently and after that some themed items.

the first ones are called brightside and  the comforter

Brightside: When you’re chewing on life’s gristle, don’t grumble, give a whistle! Hop in the bath with one of these uplifting bubble bars, Siimg_1213cilian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine essential oils to help you look on the bright side of life! Its jazzy bright colours will create magnificent orange bath water, and the sunny citrus fragrance is sure to leave you jolly and refreshed.

The Comforter: Sometimes you just need to shut yourself off from the outside world under a blanket of fruity foam that will put you back in the right frame of mind to face the world. This bar is supersized, so you’ll only need to crumble half a bar under your tap to make enough bubbles for a long, comforting soak. Cassis absolute gives a distinctive blackcurrant fragrance, while bergamot adds an uplifting note.

These two are the ones I always buy, because they smell amazing and you can break one of them in four, so you can have four baths with one of those bubble bars.

Then there are some autumn and christmas items I love. img_1219

The first one is sparkly pumpkin: For a magical evening, our Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar will help
you conjure up a mountain of mystical bubbles. Nicola gives us a spooktacular recipe for brewing a bathtub full of juniper berry and lime essential oils that will leave your skin naturally soft and delightfully scented.

Then the christmas items.IMG_1226.jpeg

First one is father christmas: Sweet surrender. A festive bomb to bring Santa’s presence into the bath. Once you pop this jolly bomb in your bath, you’ll be able to soak away the hours in sweet waters as the blushing red of Santa’s cheeks fizz away to reveal a vivid, holly green center. All we want for Christmas is this Santa, baby!

ThIMG_1223.jpege second one is golden wonder: A wonder to behold. Fancy an uplifting cocktail? Cognac and zesty lime oils get this bath party started with mood-brightening scents while sweet orange oil refreshes the senses. In the water, this present-shaped fizzer unwraps itself to reveal glittering golden luster and a sparkling turquoise explosion. Don’t wait until Christmas day to bathe yourself in festive luxury.

And the last bathbomb but not the least neIMG_1217.jpegver mind the ballistics: Take it for a spin. These aren’t ingredients for anybody else except yourself. Lime and sweet wild orange oils are fresh and peachy on the nose, exciting the senses and shaking up your mood. There’s no time for apathy in the bath, so this anarchic bath bomb fizzes and rolls and spews color with a no-holds-barred energy. Fair trade cocoa butter melts alongside fresh bananas to soften both the water and your skin. You’ll want to put this one on repeat.

I also have a shampoo from Lush that smells amazing and the scent stays in my hair for a really long time. I am talking about Daddy-O-Packaging.pngdaddy-o shampoo. Daddy-O works to add volume and s
hine to your hair. It’s the lemon and organic lime juice which allow the cuticles to lie flat and reflect more light, helping the hair to shine. We’ve created an infusion from toothed wrack seaweed and organic lemons, that cleanses and softens. Extra virgin coconut oil hydrates the hair, whilst fine sea salt gets to work by to softening and giving body to your hair. What makes this extra special is that it can revive your silver and blonde tones.

Those products are my absolute favorites. I love all the sweet scents, but there are so much more things to choose from. If you ever see a Lush store and you have never been to one before I would defiantly suggest that you take a look around in the store.

I hope that this blog will make up for the three weeks without a blog.

For now I sign off.
